  • Duratian: approx. 2 hours

The word kimono (in English: thing to wear) originally referred to all types of Japanese clothing to differentiate them from Western fashion. Forgotten, the item that is today known under this name has experienced a renaissance after the Second World War. Workshop instructor Maria Deutsch introduces the history and the contemporary meaning of the kimono in Japan. Subsequently, the participants are introduced to yukata, an airy summery version of the kimono, and get a chance to put one on. Please come in light and tight clothes!
