Miso, a paste made from soy beans and grain, is mainly known here as an ingredient of the classic Japanese miso soup. However, the miso paste can also be used for much more: it contains numerous nutrients and can serve many purposes – as a spice, as a marinade for vegetables, meat and fish, as a dip or a salad dressing. Cooking course instructor Usa-san has many ideas how to creatively use miso in the kitchen. Aside from that, you will learn about the history, culture and different types of this condiment paste. Some tasty treats will also be available to enjoy as part of the program.
